Plane Veneer Curved

The series plane veneer curved is inspired by a book cover in art nouveau style by the german designer Peter Behrens. Based on his formal principals the cover was redueced to its plainest and translated into three-dimensional jewellery. These pieces occur graphical and at the same time sculptural. The pieces are made of veneer of plane trees which is a typical material of furniture making. I pushed the physical limits of the material by transfering it into a jewellery context.

This project was awarded with the manu factum state prize 2017.
